There's no place like home...

Here I sit in a roller chair, the seat perfectly molded to my ass from hours upon hours of use. I am sitting at the keyboard that bares enough of my finger prints and DNA that I dare not commit a crime... Ahhhhh it's good to be home!
I missed you guys... I know it sounds crazy, but I really did! While shopping, I thought about bringing you back something, but I was at a loss as to what to get, so I came back empty handed, well kind of, but I'll get into what I brought back later!
The drive is beautiful. The difference between the lush valley I live in and the desert of Reno is stark, but I love both places equally.

William driving, just before flipping me the bird for taking his picture!

Mount Shasta

Traditionally, our first evening is spent at the Nugget until the wee hours, we donated a fair chuck of change that first night.
Saturday was full. We had brunch in Carson City with my Aunt and we had a wonderful time. We ate, shared, played with the computer and looked at family pictures, she had so many pictures I'd never seen... It really made me wish I lived closer to my family (how weird is that?).
Saturday evening we had dinner with blogger Ginger and her husband. It was so funny meeting someone for the first time, yet already feel like you kind of know them. Ginger is just as awesome IRL as she is in blogger... yes, she was my first!
We generally stay with my Mother in law when we go to Reno, but Sunday night we stayed at the Atlantis hotel/casino. William had reserved us an amazing room with a city view.

Floor to ceiling windows across one entire wall.

A jacuzzi tub near the window that let you look out at the city while tubbing. We did great gambling that night.
I had fallen in love with a conure parrot while shopping and joked that if I won, I was going to buy him... well his name is Lucky, he loves car rides and now he resides in my library. Supposedly he bit everyone at the pet store and was pretty cranky... he hopped right up on my finger and snuggled into my neck and fell asleep. He has yet to bite either of us and had been a doll, so I'm pretty sure they give everyone that speech about "Wow! He's never taken to anyone like that before"!
We made great time coming home... and of course, I took pictures of what I am sure is the most photographed sign in Northern California, I wonder how often these get stolen?

Well, now I'm off to catch up with all of you on your blogs!
